Aurora@Home (A@H) is a partnership between many Aurora-based nonprofits, the City of Aurora, and both Arapahoe and Adams Counties. We believe that families (and individuals) who are at risk need more than just housing. The Collaborative Plan outlines the city-wide effort to create a streamlined and efficient infrastructure to address and prevent homelessness. The A@H Project focuses on families with dependent children under 17 years old who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness. We pair affordable housing with wrap-around services and case management that are individualized in order to give families an initial level of stability that will lead to a pattern of self-sufficiency.
A@H’s driving goals are:
Preventing homelessness in the community
Provide housing and coordinate emergency shelter and rapid re-housing efforts
Provide and expand supportive services
Promote responsive and sustainable system of care
